In a 'STATE' of Break Up !!

AN EXCERPT FROM LORD MACAULAY'S ADDRESS TO THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT

"I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation."


Now this is a heavily debated article which has its supporters and skeptics, and though i personally accept Macaulay as a hero who got English Education to India,  lets just consider the part of ideology of the british to 'Divide and Rule'. Divide the country by regions, by religions, by classes and every possible way to rule rule 'efficiently' over the people.

Ideology : Divide and Rule. 
Its better this way you know. Mayawati can now get to control 3 states instead of 1. 3 times the number of statues.;) Mr Rao has successfully fasted his way to get his state for his 'underprivilaged' men. Too good now they have their own space to be a non discriminated state. Well, if everyone is unfortunate, who will u discriminate against ;). So good for them.

Long long time ago, some white men thought of breaking the country to rule 'BETTER'. Thankfully we did have some brave people to stand up for our independence. And today, long long time after independence, some smart people again propose to do the same to be able to rule 'BETTER'. Who is going tostand up and for what ;)

And if some other people pick up the agenda, dont think its too far when you have to start paying inter state toll for travelling from Pune to Mumbai ;)
